Join Desert Endurance Racing and Sole Sports Tempe Run Club for an evening run! You can do your own workout or find someone to run with for motivation. Paces vary from walkers to Boston qualifiers – you just find the gaggle going the same speed and distance as you would like to run.
Please show up about 15 minutes early in order to find parking – this parking lot can be a hassle. There is additional parking across Warner near the community garden. Monday is the fun group! There is usually snacks and socialization afterwards, and often a shoe demo by a popular shoe brand or celebration of some sort – feel free to hang out and meet other runners/triathletes in the Tempe area!

Join Desert Endurance Racing for an in-person group swim at Eldorado Aquatic Center in Scottsdale (details below). You can do the workout that I write for the morning or come do your own swim but with motivation from team members!
Please show up about 5-10 minutes early so we can group up outside before the doors open – that way we can hustle to the pool deck and get lanes next to each other (we’ll share at least 2 to a lane).

Group Trail Run @ McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Let’s get dirty and hit the trails! We will run a 9.3 mile loop starting in the staging area just inside the entry gate, following Escondido to Pemberton to Shallmo Wash.
Mandatory gear includes:
- 40-60 oz of water, preferably with electrolytes (a hydration vest with flasks or 2 handhelds are a great solution) – this is a mandatory amount of water to remain with the group for the 2-3 hours!!
- Sturdy shoes capable of handling semi-rugged trail conditions. Trail running shoes with lugs are HIGHLY recommended.
- Snacks sufficient to fuel a run of approx. 2-3 hours
We’ll meet in the dirt lot - look for my car, a blue Ford Escape - and head out at 8am, so please arrive early and be ready to roll by 8.

Let’s get dirty and hit the trails! We will run an out-and-back on Desert Classic from the Pima Canyon Trailhead. Pacing will vary, and there will be a couple of stops to allows everyone to regroup.

We’ll meet by the restrooms and head out at 8am, so please arrive early and be ready to roll by 8.
